This whole-home remodel in Greensboro’s Adams Farms neighborhood was designed to support a meaningful life transition. After retiring, Jody relocated to Greensboro to be in the same neighborhood as her daughter. The 35-year-old home she purchased was worn and dated.

When mobility challenges from multiple sclerosis began affecting daily life, this Lake Jeanette couple knew their primary bathroom needed to change. They didn’t want a clinical-looking renovation. They wanted a space that felt beautiful, calming, and comfortable — while allowing both spouses to use it safely.

When Madison and Carr relocated back to Greensboro with their toddler, they chose a stately 1918 home in the historic Fisher Park neighborhood to be near family. They loved its character, charm, and architectural integrity — but after living in it long enough, the limitations of a century-old layout became clear.

With four children, Alice and Brian needed a kitchen that could keep up with real family life—homework at the table, quick breakfasts before school, big holiday meals, and the everyday chaos that comes with a busy household. Their 28-year-old kitchen in High Point’s Wexford neighborhood was well loved, but it was cramped, dark, and no longer worked for how their family actually lived.

The homeowners loved their neighborhood and home, but the main level no longer supported how they lived—or how they planned to live in the years ahead. The kitchen felt closed off from the den, work surfaces were limited, storage was tight, and the powder room didn’t offer main-level accessibility. The laundry pinched circulation and competed for space needed to modernize the kitchen.

When Danielle and Michael were expecting their first child, they knew something had to change — and there was a deadline. Their 69-year-old primary bathroom had served its time, but it was dark, cramped, and no longer practical for life with a baby on the way.The shower had thick tile walls, a low tiled ceiling, and dim lighting that made the space feel claustrophobic.
